First an unofficial vote made the name Cezar Chavez Blvd. as the new name for Industrial Blvd; but Dallas City Council really wanted a different name.  Then an idea to rename Ross Ave. for Chavez became a possibility.  Now it's the Dallas North Tollway that might receive the name change.  So what do you think?  Which road should be renamed for the latino labor leader?

Industrial, Ross, and the Tollway need to stay the same. They should find a street in an area that is predominantly Mexican, and rename THAT street. They will not give up until they get their way.

I still say that this is one fine mess that the City of Dallas Council has created, that should have never happened.

Dang! YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!

There ought to be a short, dead end street somewhere in Dallas, eh?

I don't think any street in Dallas should be named after Ceasar chavez, since He did nothing for Dallas.

I personally don't see the need nor expense for all this renaming carp. What's wrong with the names they have already. Come up with new streets, name it good! Make it stick.

None of them. Look why can't they just put a sign memeorial road, like Tom Lamdry, or Ronald Reagan? We didn't rename anything. Why Chavez, what did he ever do for Dallas? Maybe find a local Latino to name it after. Is there one out there, I mean really In dallas I just do not know. BArbera Jordan raod would be better

The big question is why? Why should we rename anything? Lots of expense and trouble for NO good reason.
You know that little section of road that joins the Park Lane Sam's Club parking lot to Greenville Avenue, I believe its called Fair Oaks Avenue. I say name that after Chavez if you must rename something!
But first someone should consider the expense to citizens, businesses, etc. in reprinting maps, phone books, stationery, etc.
