I love going to concert, don't get me wrong.  Half the concerts I've been to in my lifetime were for bands that I'd only ever heard a couple of songs from, if that many.  Haven't been to any concerts in a while, so it seems that I need to start lining them up for this summer.

My boyfriend loves the rock band Rage Against the Machine.  He's driven to California just to see them perform.  Welp, we just got word that they're headlining Chicago's Lollapalooza in August.  We had been planning a trip to Chicago sometime during the summer anyhow, so why not go then and attend the concert?

This is why: pre-sale 3-day pass tickets for Lollapalooza = $190.  Once those sell out you can purchase the 3-day pass regular price at $205 each.

what do you think?  early Christmas present for the boyfriend?  Or should we just sit this one out?  It's an awful lot of money........what was the most you've spent on something like this?

But  I'm trying to get an apartment with a friend of mine, and he told me yesterday that he just got a kitten!  i'm a sucker for furry things.  Haven't seen it, already love it.

P.S. Speedy: lots of new blog posts so you feel updated!  And 80 games??!!  holy cow!  I can't even survive one game of whiffle ball!

I'm finally 21!!!

Yup, I celebrated my 21st birthday last Thursday, April 3.  I was so excited!!!  Melissa (whom some of you might know as the Web team's other Lindenwood intern) took me out for a few drinks after my boyfriend took me out for dinner. 

He was a little cranky because he didn't turn 21 until today.  No excuses to be cranky now!

I was very proud of myself: I didn't overindulge or anything.  I'm sure when I get back to visit my dad in Texas though he's gonna push me to my breaking point!

Anyhoo, now that I can go pretty much wherever I want, any suggestions for places I absolutely must try?  I've been dying to go to Fast Eddie's for months now...wait, come think of it, I don't even know where that is!  Ha, and directions to Fast Eddie's, please!

If you saw John Pertzborn's videos of the Opening Day rally, yup, that was me.  I tried my best to stay out of the camera, but once John gets in the web video mood, there's not a lot you can do to avoid it.

I've never been to a Cardinal's game before; I've barely even been to any baseball game before!  Honestly, that day I had no idea that there was any sort of rally anything going on.  So if any of you saw me there with the Fox 2 crew, that explains why I was dressed so funny.  The only girl in three-inch heels at the shindig.  Oh, and note to self: skirt + raised platform on a balcony + wind = fun time for people on ground-level, not-so-fun time for you.

Oh, and some VERY interesting people attend these things, too.  A group of ladies were so happy that I got them Tim Ezell t-shirts that they gave me band-aids for my heels and asked to take a picture with me!  Crazy!

All in all, it was really fun.  Cold legs and tired feet, but kind words from Fox 2's morning anchors and other on-air personalities.  Plus free appetizers from J. Buck's!  Can't beat all that.  YUM!

     Alright, so I'm already all wound up about Spring Break being right around the corner, but there's something else that has always been on my mind that is getting me excited once again.......

PUPPIES!!!

     I want a puppy!  I've been working really hard to try and convince my boyfriend that a dog is the right choice for us, that we NEEEEEEED one.   = )  

     I've been researching and I think I've found some very good choices--animals that would be a great fit for us.  Now...we wait.  The boyfriend doesn't even know about my latest tactics yet.....we'll see how it goes!  Wish me luck!

     Oh!  what I wanted to ask though: I know lots of y'all have pets already; why did you choose the animal you did?  Have you ever wondered if it was the wrong choice, or does your personality and your pet's fit perfectly?

It's been a while since I've written a blog!  Sorry about that, everyone; once reading them becomes my "job", I kinda forget that I like to write them too! 

Anyhoo, I'm getting really excited over here!  One week left to survive, and then I'm off for spring break!  ooooooohhhhh.....I really need it, too.

Usually, I drive down to Texas with friends; we stay with my family, I visit friends left back home and, most importantly, THE BEACH!  This year, due to lack of funds, I wasn't able to make the trip.

But......I get to go to New Orleans!  Cousin's planning on attending college there in the fall, so me, her and her mom are going on a fancy/relaxing trip down there for the week.  We are staying at the Hilton downtown, and even have reservations at Brennan's for Easter Sunday brunch!  I feel like one of the hoity-toity already!

Very, VERY excited......
