This is a very sensitive and touchy subject for me, but thought I should write about it.

I am prepared for people to disagree on my opinion, and that is ok...I love this country because we can state our opinions and our feelings.

I can't express how much this war NEEDS to end. I stated in another blog that my dad and brother are both combat war veterans, but there is something that really hasn't been discussed in other blogs, news, or documentaries (to my knowledge)

The mentality of our men and women when they come home from a place that is distructive, violent, cruel, and most of all murderous is something that stays with them for the rest of their lives..our soldiers come home to a family that see's them in one piece and looks the same, but does not act the same. To families that have loved ones that have went to war, you know what I am talking about.. The government does nothing to help our men and women AFTER they come home. Our troops come home and are almost expected to come back to reality of family life and it is down right inhuman.

My brother was a combat engineer in the army for desert storm, and without exploiting all of his personal tribulations I will express that he still has not and I believe will never get over all that he has seen. I cry for my brother because the pain of seeing what he has seen torments him every day. My brother fought for 10 years after Desert Storm to get 100% disability because he could not function in a "normal world". Normal activities that you and I do without hesitation (generally speaking) were extremely inhibiting to him. My brother in no way is what some people call a "sissy" or even a coward, he fought the fought, but he is having a hard time dealing with IRAQ and even this war too.

I am in no means minimizing the families who have lost their loved ones who have paid the ulitmate sacrifice to our country, my heart deeply goes out to them. Or, to the men and women who have lost a limb, or any other terrible and horrific wounds.

But, rarely is there a topic on our troops coming home and mentally being tormented day to day about their experience. Yes, my brother signed up for the Army when he was 20 years old, so I know he volunteered and if asked he would do it all over again. When my brother see's news coverage on boys going to Iraq he see's himself and what they will have to face when they get there. There is no preparation for what they will encounter mentally.

So I say, for the sanity of our young men and women and our familes....STOP this war and bring them all home. How much do we have to sacrafice before we all realize that this is an epidemic that will change our american society forever?

Support our troops! Pray for our troops! AND when they come home LOVE THEM and HELP THEM!

Hello Everyone!

First I would like to know what it is with crappy singers (ie Sanjaya) staying on American Idol. I did hear on the news that there was a web site that people were voting for the bad singers on purpose.

Assuming that someone will answer my blog....does any one think that American Idol should acknowledge the people voting, but ultimately decide who goes home? I do!  I think if the voters know that they can decide and put them in the bottom two, then the judges decide who gets kicked off, then maybe people wouldn't sabotage anymore.  I am really getting mad at people getting sent home before their time.

Or, are we getting too tired of American Idol? Is anyone out there just plain tired of it?

Thanks for listening!
