Here's a story that sadly you don't hear very often.   This is why I thought I'd mention it.  It should, make you smile.  Doesn't happen everyday.

I guess, this is geared towards the middle aged crowd, but do you remember as a kid, hearing about someone who paid for something at the grocery store and got short changed?  Back in the day  ( oh man, that makes me feel old ) but regardless, the company used to send out cartons of replacements and an apology for the mistake?

This is my story, and I'm proud to pass it on.  I guess, you could also say it's a plug for the company, but they deserve it.

A couple of day's ago, I was at Albertsons and bought some stir fry beef that was supposed to contain the veggies to go with it.  I thought, we'll maybe they are under the sauce packet.   I got home and it wasn't included.  I thought, we'll it was only $9.00  but I was kinda tired of always getting the short end of the stick.   It's almost like the old expression of "Where's the beef", only that was there. :)     So, I actually wrote the company a letter,  and actually a nice one, but asked them to please refund my money.

The next day, I received a very nice letter from the company thanking me for bringing this to their attention.  A few days later, a service rep for the company showed up at my door with a huge box of a variety of stuff they sell.   Really great food too.

Of course, I sent them a letter to thank them.

Point is, this kind of company is a dying breed.  Most companies could give a rats ass, if your truley satisfied or not.  This company stands behind what they sell.   The rep drove all the way from Huntington Park Ca. to Chino.   I'm very impressed, thought you might be too.

Tears in the Rain?

We need to show more sympathy for these people.  They travel miles in the heat, they risk their lives crossing the border, they don't get paid enough wages, they do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do, they live in crowded conditions among people who speak a different language, they rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day every day.

I'm NOT talking about illegal Mexicans, I'm talking about our troops.

Doesn't it seem strange that the Democrats are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but doesn't support our troops and are now threatening to defund them?

God bless our Americans and our troops and may they come home saftely to their families.

I wrote this letter today and sent it to our mayor and senator.

I am against immigration amnesty.  I was born and raised here in Riverside California 50 years ago and have lived here all my life.  I cannot believe this act could be granted in Congress without having American Citizens being abled to vote on this.  This needs to be voted on by us.  This effects the people that were born here.  My rights are being violated by not being able to vote on this issue.  The land of the free?  Oh yea, but free to immigrants.  It's free because we work our asses off and they reap the rewards.  If you care about his country of ours, stand up for us.  Doesn't it make you mad when they tear down our flag and replace it with their own?  Doesn't it make you mad when they fly the mexican flag above our own?  It won't get any better unless you care enough, to care about us.

It's a nice gesture for a get away to a casino, but has anyone been there lately?   There are a ton of kids running around that place.   To walk down an isle to play a machine is almost impossible.  People have their strollers  parked in the isle...  I'm not kidding.  If you plan on grabbing a bite to eat forget it.  People bring their kids ( and I mean the whole damned family) and you simply cannot sit down at a table.   I know in Vegas, if your not 21, then you have to stay out of the Casino.   I'm not plugging the Spa Casino in Palm Springs, but at least you can go there, relax and have a nice drink and gamble.   Another point..  The Morongo Casino should not let kids in the casino where there is alcohol being served.  True, this is an indian reservation thing, but....ths is still the State of California that has a law against serving alcohol around minors.   I'd like to see a news team get a hold of a story like this.  That's why I'm writing it.
