This story broke my heart...when will it stop.....

Police have charged Randall Gabler, 22, with second degree murder in the death of two-year-old Adin Choi. The toddler’s body was found early Thursday in a wooded area behind an elementary school in Imperial, Mo.

Gabler told police he and the boy were in Suson Park in St. Louis County on Wednesday when the child disappeared.

A S.A.R.A.A. Alert was issued for Choi and police scoured Suson Park for any signs of the tot.

But early Thursday morning, the child’s body was found in a wooded area behind Clyde Hamrick Elementary School on Old Highway 21 in Imperial.

Now police say they aren’t sure if the pair was ever in the park. Police also believe little Adin was killed at a motel in the Woodson Terrace area where Gabler had been staying and later dumped behind the school.

Gabler was supposedly babysitting Adin while his mother was away in New York.

St. Louis County Police say Gabler has a prior arrest record, but it may have only involved traffic violations.

His bond is set at $250,000.

I too am heartbroken over this. I realize he probably won't be able to make his bond, but it should be set at more. Between this and the 18 year old in Kansas City really makes you want to build a bunker and just hide your kids. My thoughts and prayers go out to both families.

At first this morning I thought it was just a child that wondered and was found. It wasn't until I came online that I understood the terrible thing that took place. This school is minutes from my house, my nephew goes there. I agree with tbiggers...we have to live in this world but I want to keep my children right with me at all times. I am praying for both families.

I just don't understand how people can kill innocent children or adults.

My heart and prayers go out to all the family and friends.

With me, not sad, just alarmed that children are being killed for no reason.

Someone would have adopted that child.
Where was the father? Who was the parents of the killer and how did they raise him?
You have what you produce.

When will these stupid mothers learn to stop leaving their babies with boyfriends!!
These are their children, how can they be so reckless?
I think the moms should be charged with endangering the welfare of the child!
Poor boy, his face looks so sad in the picture they keep showing of him.
This was something that should never have happened!

amom....Not all bad people were raised by bad parents. Sometimes parents do their very best and kids just go astray. I'm sure that they are also heartbroken in the worst way. I just couldnt imagine loosing a child either way.

I am very saddened by your phrase "You have what you produce." It is easy for us to pray for Adin's parents but a true Christian will also pray for his killer's parents.

I actually get tears in my eyes when I think of my beautiful, innocent grandson and the cruel world he is growing up in. He is the center of my world and I love him more than words can say, but I really hope I don't have any more grandchildren, only because I am so afraid for him. I want to put him in a bubble and keep him safe and away from this insanity, but I know that is impossible. It is soooo very sad. My prayers go out to this boys family. And to you, star32, not ALL boyfriends are killers and that comment calling the mother stupid and careless was just plain mean. You should be ashamed.

The fathers of these children are going to have to be held responsible.

If you make a baby, you have a responsibility as much as the mother

lemens62, thank you for your comment, but we all have our opinions.

I was so sad this morning when I heard the little boy was found dead. The last thing I did last night was pray for his safety. Way too many children are getting kidnapped and killed. It is a very scary world.

this really upset me. I can only think about what that poor little child must have been thinking when that scumbag hurt him. I am literally sick to my stomach. This guy deserves worse than what he will probably get!

I have known Randy(the boyfriend) for many years. What he done to this boy is horrible and there is no excuse. Randy lost his older brother to a heroine overdose. He has been addicted himself for awhile. I was shocked when I heard this child was left in his care. Everyone who knows him knows he was on some type of drug. There has been a drastic change in his personality in past several months including having no patience at all and not being able to hold a conversation. He has not always been an addict. At one time he goals and was attending college to be a teacher and he also worked for the school district. I am saddened by what happened to this child and also by what drugs has done to this Randy. It makes me wonder, what if anything I could have done for either of them.
