A GOOD SAMARITAN IS BEING CREDITED WITH SAVING THE LIVES OF AT LEAST TWO CHILDREN FROM A BURING HOUSE IN GRANITE CITY.

OFFICIALS SAY THE MAN WAS DRIVING BY WHEN HE NOTICED A FIRE AT A HOME IN THE 200 BLOCK OF BRIARWOOD AT BRIARMOOR.

HE RAN INTO THE HOUSE AND RESCUED TWO CHILDREN.

FOUR KIDS AGES 15, 14, 5 , AND THREE WERE ALONE IN THE HOME WHEN THE FIRE STARTED.

THE FIVE YEAR OLD IS REPORTEDLY IN SERIOUS CONDITION

THAT GOOD SAMARITAN ALSO HAD TO BE HELPED OUT OF THE HOUSE BY POLICE AND TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL.

THE STATE FIRE MARSHALL WAS ON THE SCENE EARLIER THIS MORNING..

SO FAR A CAUSE FOR THE FIRE HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED.

My question is...Would you risk your life to save someone else's life? And what are you feelings on this good samaritan?

Hazelwood Northwest Middle School is closed due to a bomb threat.

District officials confirm the threat and are cancelled classes at the Northwest Middle School.

School buses that were in route to the middle school were turned around before kids could be unloaded.

Parents were told school was cancelled as they arrived at the school to drop their kids off.

School officials say they will talk to the students about the severity of bomb threats.

Earlier this month classes were cancelled at Hazelwood West High School because of a bomb threat written on the sidewalk. This is the third bomb threat this year at a school in the Hazelwood School District. Your thoughts??

I got a preview today of the Body Worlds exhibit. It was very interesting, but it is not for the squemish. The fetal development exibit was the most disturbing for me. The exhibit showed the different stages of fetal development using real fetuses.. The area is cordoned off so it is up to you if you want to see it. I could have done without seeing that part, but everything else was very educational. There was also an exhibit where the plastinate, as they are called, was holding his skin. That was a little gross, but really educational at the same time. There are also different exhibits of diseased organs. They show, for example, what a smoker's lung looks like. Here is more on the exhibit..

THE SCIENCE CENTER HAS ALREADY SOLD AN UNPRECEDENTED 25-THOUSAND ADVANCE TICKETS.

BODY WORLDS OPENS FRIDAY IN THE EXPLORADOME... AND RUNS THROUGH MARCH 2ND.

TICKETS ARE 18-DOLLARS FOR ADULTS... AND 12 DOLLARS FOR CHILDREN.

IT'S AN EXHIBIT OF REAL HUMAN CORPSES.. DEHYDRATED THEN INFUSED WITH PLASTIC.

THE SCIENCE CENTER SAYS THE EXHIBIT IS EDUCATIONAL.. BUT ADMITS, IT'S NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN UNDER AGE TEN.

AND THE EXHIBIT IS NOT WITHOUT CONTROVERSY.

THE HEAD OF ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC SCHOOLS URGED TEACHERS NOT TO TAKE THEIR STUDENTS TO THE EXHIBIT.

I wanted to share that a few weeks back I was covering a story in a very dangerous part of North St. Louis..All police had left and I still had one more live shot to do. After it was done and we were packing up...a police officer pulled up and said" This is a dangerous neighborhood, I will wait and watch you guys while you pack up and leave, so I know you make it out ok." It was Officer Norvelle Brown. I didn't know him, but I thank him for making us feel safe and watching out for us in such a rough neighborhood. THANK YOU OFFICER BROWN....My condolences to his friends, co-workers, and family...

Flags are at half staff in St. Louis City after a 22 year old police officer is shot and killed. Officer Norvelle Brown was shot in the 1600 block of Semple just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

He later died at Barnes Jewish Hospital. St. Louis Police Chief Joseph Mokwa reported the rookie officer was wearing body armor, but the bullet entered through his armpit, hit his lung, and pierced his artery.

I WAS DOWN AT POLICE HEADQUARTERS THIS MORNING AS THE FLAGS WERE LOWERED AND THE BLACK BUNTING WAS PUT UP.

I WENT INSIDE AND THERE WERE OFFICERS CRYING. I ASKED THEM IF THEY KNEW HIM AND THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T BUT HE WAS STILL FAMILY.

VERY SAD AND SENSELESS...

This story broke my heart...when will it stop.....

Police have charged Randall Gabler, 22, with second degree murder in the death of two-year-old Adin Choi. The toddler’s body was found early Thursday in a wooded area behind an elementary school in Imperial, Mo.

Gabler told police he and the boy were in Suson Park in St. Louis County on Wednesday when the child disappeared.

A S.A.R.A.A. Alert was issued for Choi and police scoured Suson Park for any signs of the tot.

But early Thursday morning, the child’s body was found in a wooded area behind Clyde Hamrick Elementary School on Old Highway 21 in Imperial.

Now police say they aren’t sure if the pair was ever in the park. Police also believe little Adin was killed at a motel in the Woodson Terrace area where Gabler had been staying and later dumped behind the school.

Gabler was supposedly babysitting Adin while his mother was away in New York.

St. Louis County Police say Gabler has a prior arrest record, but it may have only involved traffic violations.

His bond is set at $250,000.

MOTORISTS ARE ALREADY REELING FROM RISING GAS PRICES.

NOW IT'S TIME FOR MORE STICKER SHOCK.

SOME STATIONS SELLING IT FOR AS HIGH AS 3.18 A GALLON.

THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS $3.03 PER GALLON ON AUG. 11, 2006.

JUST TWO WEEKS AGO, THE U.S. AVERAGE FOR A GALLON OF REGULAR GAS WAS $2.87, BUT THE LUNDBERG SURVEY OF 7,000 STATIONS NATIONWIDE ON FRIDAY SHOWED AN INCREASE OF ABOUT 19.5 CENTS TO $3.07. THAT'S UP 88.4 CENTS SINCE JAN. 19.

INDUSTRY ANALYSTS SAY THERE ARE SIGNS THE RISING PRICES MAY BE PEAKING, SINCE OIL AND GAS FUTURES ARE DECLINING.

THE NATION'S LOWEST AVERAGE PUMP PRICE WAS $2.80 PER GALLON IN CHARLESTON, S.C., WHILE THE HIGHEST WAS $3.49 IN SAN FRANCISCO

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? ANYTHING YOU PLAN TO CHANGE BECAUSE OF THE RISING GAS PRICES?

GASOLINE PRICES HAVE SURGED TO A RECORD NATIONWIDE AVERAGE OF $3.07 PER GALLON, NEARLY 20 CENTS HIGHER THAN THEY WERE TWO WEEKS EARLIER .
'TRIPLE A' IN ST. LOUIS REPORTS THE AVERAGE HERE IS AT A RECORD... 3.12 A GALLON.
WE'VE TOPPED THE OLD RECORD.

MISSOURI'S BOARD OF EDUCATION VOTED FIVE TO ONE TO STRIP THE ST. LOUIS SCHOOL DISTRICT OF ITS ACCREDITATION.

A TRANSITIONAL TEAM WILL TAKE OVER THE DISTRICT.. EFFECTIVE JUNE 15TH.

SEVERAL STUDENTS OPPOSED TO THE TAKEOVER FORCED THE SHUTDOWN OF THIS MORNING'S MEETING IN JEFFERSON CITY.

ONE STUDENT WAS HANDCUFFED AND TAKEN AWAY BY CAPITOL POLICE.

Sources from Jefferson City have told Fox 2 that the state will unaccredit St. Louis public schools and nominate the CEO of McBride and Sons building company Rick Sullivan as head of the transitional school board.

This won't sit well with alot of people including the two bus loads of students, parents, and teachers who left from St. Louis this morning.

They are in Jefferson City to talk with the state board of education to make known their opposition to a state takeover and transitional school board.

I asked a member of Local 420, the teachers union, what would they do if the state does take over.

He told me they have discussed two options

1. legal action

2. a possible strike
