I agree with you.

Where I'm from we didn't have black Americans, most of the black people were right from Africa.. Talk about two different distinct people that have no touch with their African roots. To me it's just a poor me complex thats been passed through the generations, when they have the ability to end it. I over heard two black kids talking a couple months ago and everything ended in it was the white mans fault.. BS .. Guess it's easier to blame everyone else than actually do something.

By the way, many African Americans will tell you, "I'm not from Africa, I was born here. I am a Black American." The difference in their eyes is that an African American is someone who moved here from Africa and a Black American is a descendant of the Africans who came here from Africa years and years ago.

No white people aren't the only ones who can be racist. I've met black people who hate other black people, I've met black people who hate multiracial people, and yes, I've met black people who hate (and I mean really hate) white people, but they had their reasons. "They did this and that to me" or "A white man did this". No excuse. Two dumb blondes lied to a judge and now my cousin is in jail, but I don't hate white people. I just dislike those two.

There are people like me who have some white blood in them. Somehow they got it in their heads that we "multiracial people" are superior to white and black people because we're both. In the future, (like a thousand or more years from now) everyone in the US will have our traits, light brown skin, dark hair, brown, blue, green or dark brown eyes. They only like other multiracial people, but hate people who are darker than them and distrust white people. Why I don't know. Phew...almost done.

There is no need to refer to "them" as anything. Why would you be referring to any group of people based on their color unless you are discussing what clothes go best with their skin tone?

How outrageous, toddt! I do know what you are talking about. I substitute, and see hatred in the classroom everyday. I was never a racist person, but being treated like I am treated in the classrooms, not because I am a substitute, but because I am white, I have to go home and reconstruct my feelings. One student admitted that he hated me because of my color. I had never met the kid before and told him I have never been a slave owner. I then asked him if he had ever been a slave. After a few seconds of thought, he looked up at me and smiled. He understood. One down, thousands to go. Nightmare, I commend you for your comments. I have to disagree with you, though, that the numbers are NOT few. I worry about our country. I want us all to be Free Americans, not African/Black Americans, White Americans, Hispanic Americans...but a country of free Americans.
