The Democrats now scared that the military might turn around and start reporting good news on the war in Iraq or other aspects on the war on terror now are trying to silence the Pentagon by saying their words are propaganda.

Well, now if they seriously intend on going down this path, which is nothing more than outright sensorship, then I say lets just do it!

The President should pick up the red phone, and tell the Joint Chiefs that he wants ALL media credentials pulled and to have the Marines escort every last member of the media out of the Pentagon, cut all electronic media, and communications.  Then send out FLASH message traffic to the armed forces around the globe instructing them to put any and all inbedded reporters, and others on the next plane out, or drop them off at the nearest embassy!

I know Roosevelt during WWII made sure the media was sensored, and ran his own news reels!  I suggest then that we do exactly that!  Let the military do its job, and then lets see what happens when the family and friends of all the military serving overseas end up loosing all communications other than sensored snail mail as Roosevelt also opened all the mail as well!

Hey, if the Liberals REALLY want to repeat history... then lets just do that then!

Typical of liberals...the same ones that wanted to silence the military vote in Fla in 2000.

The Troops have been sending good news home any way they can, I used to listen to the John Boy & Billy Show, and the would set up Ham Radio Links with the troops and let them tell their side of the story...WHTQ your biggest mistake was losing that show and replacing it with 2 guys who sound like the came off 1970 am pop Radio.

I will tell you from those I know... they are absolutely livid with the media and the left using them to get after Bush. They have had to fight back and enemy that gets more motivation from the left side of our own government than what Al_Qaeda can muster up! When Pelosi becomes the new Jane Fonda, and Harry Reid proclaims our defeat and becomes the new China Rose, they tend to lean more to the right. When we let Newsweek report fake Koran abuse stories, and enrage our enemy, but then turn around and tell them that their own voice from the field of good news is now being catagorized as "propaganda" and should be silenced, you have outright slammed our troops right in the backside!

Its absolutely embarrassing to see how American is taught to hate the troops, and insult their intelligence every day! "Respect the troops but not the war?" NOBODY buys that but liberals in denial!

To generalize and say our military feels one way or another is stupid. They, just like everyone else come down on both sides of every issue. I have heard grunts on the ground in Iraq say we are doing a good thing and I have also heard them say we have no business there. I say the best way we can support out troops is by holding our leaders responsible.

Censorship is the sign of a dishonest politician. I say let the facts speak for themselves. I think we need to be in Iraq but lets be honest. Only a fool would say it has been a success on any level.

Too many good men and women have already lost their lives for a fallacy put forth by poor intelligence and a president who had no intention of ever getting out of Iraq.

I agree with Jim Tavares, there is no way to generalize the opinion of the military. I know as many who disagree with us being there as agree with us being there. The fact is we have no choice in the matter anymore, we have to be there to ensure the peace.

There is no easy way out of Iraq. Like it or not things were stable with Sadam in control. And why do you think Iran is showing its ass now? They were at least somewhat held in check by him.

WRONG! YOU TavaresJim think things were stable with Sadaam in control?

Had you not listened to the biased media throught the 90s you would know that Sadaam was breaching ALL UN resolutions, firing on our troops daily, and supporting terrorist with money to suicide bomber families, and traning for cells!

Food for Oil was a complete mess, but your media wouldn't investigate! The military and civilian Americans were being hit by terrorist everywhere because they saw that Sadaam and others could lead us around by the nose, and we were really just hot air with alot of power, but too afraid to use it!! Our reputation delivered by our left wing hacks, and a President tieing the hands of the military ment bloodbaths for our people at will!

Democrats literally looted the Defense Dept in the 90s, and made sure they had a bunch of Pentagon top brass that would not object!

I suggest you go read ACTUAL history and facts on the Gulf Region and the middle east instead of getting your information from the hacks you obviously choose to get it from!

There is no easy way out of Germany, Korea, Japan, etc either!! We have to keep a vigiliant watch, instead of just comming home, ignoring the signs of attacks, simply because you don't want to have to put the money snatched for the military back!

As always you are clueless Jim , “things where GREAT in Iraq before the war” you don't even have a clue when the war with Iraq started or how things where their ...and respecting the troops is more than words , you and your side of this have made it CLEAR that you “respect” enemy combatants just as much as you respect our troops... and you respect Hussein far more than you do our country!
