St. Cloud enjoys one of the newest medical facilities in central Fl, and yet they are worried about another hospital's construction in central Fl actually snatching away patients, Doctors, nurses, and medical staff.  WHAT?

A Judge today will be hearing arguments on this case?  Why!  The call for more medical care, and affordable care scream across the land, and now when that call is answered, someone comes along to stop it?  We stopped AT&T's monopoly decades ago, and have cheaper/better/competing companies now.  If I see a CVS drug store I know I can look across the street and Walgreens will be right there!  Home Depot has a Lowes almost sharing parking lots!

Evidently we have a mentality in the medical world that needs adjusting!  I watch nursing students have to retake courses because the waiting list for a good nursing program can be 3 years or better, and the studies actually get too old because we don't have enough hospital space to teach and train them!

Either its a competition issue, OR Govt. is working in the back room, trying to keep medical care as rare as they can so people will support Govt healthcare!  Time to get to the bottom of this one....

Mrs TavaresJim is an RN at a local hospital. She tells me they are now importing nurses from India & the Philipines. She hates working with them because she said they don't know what they are doing half the time....and I know better than to get her started on all the foriegn doctors she has to deal with.

I hate to say it, but I just had an Indian female female practice doctor and her office give me an annual exam. BP 120/80 (perfect) and through I believe osmosis she diagnosed me with a (her words) HUGE prostate! She didn't do more than look! So its either the size of a softball! OR she is an absolute quack!!

Two months of eurology later, everything is actually NORMAL!! So I hate to say it, but WE NEED MORE COMPETITION!! I have told EVERYONE I know about this family practice. As an EMT myself, and nursing student, I could have done a better job!!

Something tell me that the licencing board in the country needs to step up!!

LOL! Digital exam: Doc put on her glove, and with a finger touched but never went in to where the prostate is located! She lifted her finger off and her words, "Yes, it is definately enlarged." OMG!! it must be so large its actually protruding out!!

What a freakin quack!! PSA test was done with the labs, and the call to the house.. everything looked normal.. Wouldn't even give me the PSA number!

Yes hospitals are deathly afraid of competition, here Holmes Regional fought tooth and nail so that Weusthoff would not move in. So Wuesthoff moves in about ten years after the fight started, and now Holmes has had to improve their quality of care which was crap in the 80's and early 90's here. Competition amongst hospitals is a GOOD thing, No longer will we have to tolerate sub standard health care! =)
