Today Obama raised the issue of gas prices, suggesting that there won't be a short term fix for the price of gas.  That there are issues related to the price of gas that have not been looked at yet.

Really?  Because only 2 short years ago Nancy Pelosi had the solution, and ran the campaign on it as one of the things she intended on fixing in her first one hundred days!  So now which is it then..... Were Democrats selling a bunch of junk to their voters simply to get into office?  Do the Democrats actually have a plan, but just won't execute it like defunding the military and ending the war?

There is a call from the left that American needs to change its National Energy Policy.  Really?  As Maxine Waters accidently let slip out that her liberal self would TAKE OVER Big Oil and SOCIALIZE it be what they are looking to do?   Do Democrats realize that you simply can't just "take over" that this nation could not afford to operate "oil"  in a fashion that would bring down costs?  We seem to have some politicians that can't get it though their heads that government is NOT a profit organization!  In reality, The remaining companies would just move operations overseas like the Drug Companys did when Hillary went after their profits, and we would end up buying oil from them, just as we had to do with flu vaccines after we chased the companies out of the US!

Maybe we need to just STOP ELECTING LAWYERS! and start electing businessmen and women who understand the world evolves around supply/demand, and money!  Power is pointless if you have neither of the three with it!

Abunai, you seem to be having difficulty focusing today. You started out including a heading about Obama and then you drifted to Pelosi, Waters and the Democratic Party. Finally you end with a statement that says "STOP ELECTING LAWYERS!"

Ramblings aside, I don't believe that either Pelosi or Maxine Waters were/are attorneys. In fact, Waters was a teacher in the real world, which is a far cry from the world of oil company CEOs who get paid several million dollars each year.

BTW, don't get rid of all of the lawyers. Corporations need them for advice and to both initiate and defend against lawsuits. An MBA doesn't seem to provide all of the necessary knowledge.

Abunai, you might want to do a little meditating focusing on each breath.....in and out slowly and deliberately.....clearing the mind of talking points and other clutter.

It usually helps to enhance the ability to focus and concentrate.

Well shadows.. you go back to your zen rock garden and continue having conversations with yourself then...

Ask the spirts to give you the ability to follow a paragraph and make connections, then maybe you won't have such a hard time.

But for you this time I will post in a more liberal aspect. No thinking required, just take the statement and run with it OK?

Obama is exposing the Democrats and their antics of tell you anything you want to hear just to get your vote. Example being used this time is gas prices, where Pelosi and Reid ran on a campaign in 2006 promising they would lower gas prices in the first hundred days, and instead of asking them how.. Libs just said YEA! vote for them! they will just flip the switch on the wall that says lower gas prices!!

Now Obama is saying that its harder than that, and the ideas looked at before are not working.
IOWs NO PROMISES!! Exposed the Democrats for not thinking things through and blaming Bush and Big Oil was a liberals simplistic approach.

Just as they promised to end the war, but AFTER the 2006 election and getting your vote.. Oops! Gosh.. seems to be a little more complicated than we first thought.

Yet does the liberal base ask "why didn't you think it through?" When the voters should have asked before voting.. HOW!

Now Obama is trying to prestage wiggle room!

OK I will stop there for you shadows.. let me know when the light goes off so the rest of the readers here don't have to wait on you any longer...

As to the Lawyer aspect, yes you are correct that not ALL are lawyers (semantics from

The ones that aren't lawyers are either ranchers or corn farmers LoL

I don't see why people wait on idiot politicians for all the solutions anyways. I don't think we'll ever make changes until individuals start stepping up to the plate. All of us can make more of an impact than any single politician can :) or is it to easy to blame someone for all our problems?

Thats the jist of it.. The "Entitlement generation" will always blame someone else for their problems.

We have hobbled and crippled the energy policy, and industry of this nation for almost 40 years now, but its ANYONE ELSES fault but the government's regulations and restrictions on capitalism.

Even New York leaders when they shut down Nuke plants drilled holes in the reactors so they could NEVER be used again, yet now they are wondering why we don't have more nuke power?

Thats crazy, the drilling holes in the reactor.. What a waste.

I actually get a kick out of the anti nuclear folks.. Always trying to compare technology, safety, and accounting of nuclear practices of the late 60's to current technology and practices.

I didnt mean to stray from the topic, but I think it's all relevant.. Energy
