I am appalled that we have allowed a known child molester ( Michael Jackson) to go and visit our troops! Was'nt he just recently tried in Santa Barbara? Then of course,(having plenty of money), has been convienently on tour out of the country. (hoping that we would forget about his perversions )

This exibition was an absolute disgrace to our country and the men and women in the armed forces, of whom many are parents of young children.

Yes it was about 3 years ago that he was tried...

Visiting the troops were adults who did not have their children with them...

We have not heard any complaints from the troops yet...

Agreed, but this country has a good reputation for forgetting the bad things that celebrities do (other than OJ).

michael has done alot of good things for many people around the world. he also have made some mistakes. all he's trying to do is bring some cheer to our troops. i'm not saying what he did isnt wrong and we should forget about it. i'm just saying give him a chance to fix the wrong things he has done wrong in the past. everyone is entitled to a 2nd chance.

I think the saying is "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." We all fall short of the glory...

ddain is correct, we do forget the good things that are done, not just celebrities but people in general as a society...

samo714, I agree with you also, we all make mistakes and most of us learn from them...

Once again, I have not heard any complaints from the troops YET...

I'm with ddain, just because MJ had the best defense MONEY COULD BUY, he got off. Same as OJ.

GG, we won't be the final judges, no; but being discerning of someone's fruit is requesite. From such turn away.

Hey Arky51,
I am not here to make a big debate of this but I would like to know some things...

this is your opinion and that is alright, but what about those on capitol hill (won't say any names, but happened recently) that get away with such crimes and are given a pat on the wrist and once it is in the media and the situation dies down...how quickly do we forget...

You are correct. Once again we will not be the final judges, and I am not discerning myself of someone's fruit which is requisite...but focus on the overall picture of those who are more powerful than MJ and OJ.

Once again do research. Over 90% of our serial killers are of the majority with 14% of those being females...

John Wayne Gacy, Christen Gilbert, Nannie Doss, Mary Ann Cotton, Ann Marie Hughes, and Dr. Linda Hazzard just to name a few...

He who is without sin let him cast the first stone (John 8:7)

What about those guys from Enron and the Orange county scandal…it is amazing at what some people want to bring up…were you there when MJ supposedly committed his crimes? And why were those four kids extorting money from MJ that we know of with their parents involved? What about those priests that committed even worst crimes against our children and they are supposed to be an example of men of CHRIST?

First of all, I hang around several of African Americans and I would like to know what about all of those people who took several innocent blacks mostly women & children who were maimed, raped, burned, tortured, hung and brutally beaten unmercifully just for the entertainment of it, with you

Part 2,
probably being a descendant are you willing to suffer for your ancestors iniquities? Leave this one along because we were not there and God forgives us everyday whether or not you realize it.

Did MJ do anything to you? Let this one go.

Girl, you quote the Bible, but I can't tell that you really know anything about the Lord of lords. And, what do ANY of the OTHER criminals you mentioned have to do with the kind of person that is Michael Jackson?

OH! You forgot Aileen Wournos - she's special.

What do child molester Priests have to do with Christianity? Don't you know what a hypocrite is?

None of my ancestors ever owned slaves, and I won't feel guilty in place of the ones who did. As a matter of fact, I was named Blue-eyed Soul in Vietnam . . . by a Chicago Black. So you want I should touch you, Valley Girl? Most Blacks I know look down on Michael Jackson as a WANNABE Whitey.

By the way, most slave owners NEVER treated their people the way you describe. They needed them healthy to get the work done.

Now, I got only one more thing to say to you, Missy Prissy: God ONLY forgives those who TURN AWAY from worldly things, admit it was SIN to go after them, and focus WHOLEHEARTEDLY on HIM!!

ARKY51; Here is a 2 to 3 part series of “One Life to Live in the Real World,” I do have a PhD in the school of life regardless of age…I do know the Lord and what I do not know I do know how to read the bible and find out...(commonsense)…And no I did not forget about Aileen Wournos- the women that I mentioned were before her time...1 woman killed 12 of her children, several of her stepchildren, 3 husbands, her mother, a couple of family members and a couple of friends...Mary Ann Cotton was special also...

Yes I know what a hypocrite is and I do not profess to be JC…and it not the issue of being a Priest it is an issue that they are or were child molesters. As far as Priests and Christianity goes, under the guise of being a man or a woman of God these people have misused the trust that was given to them by that title or position. NO they are not Christians, but under the guise of a cloak of Christianity they gained trust from the people in order to abuse their positions and become predators upon those that have given them that trust. God knows them, cloak or no cloak, but people who put their trust in men expects them to be who they are on the surface or who they seem to be, and we as human beings are mislead and misguided but God sees beyond the veil & the cloak maybe we cannot but that does not mean that it has to have any thing to do with Christianity… I am not a Miss Prissy, jackal, Keep reading your bible, God forgives us all if were are willing to admit to our sins, TRUE…You just committed a sin by making the comment that you made, I forgive you because you don’t kno

Part 2,
know any better @”#” If you are going to call me a name, be justifiable in calling me a name, that is like calling me a B word, what are you so angry about?.... GOD said, “I would rather for you to believe in me than to see what man really is.” God, do not let us see the heart of man because men are deceitfully wicked…man is the lover of himself…

How do you know that your ancestors did not owned slaves, it is not like they are going to tell you (DUHHH). My great grandfather was a slave holder and I just found that out last year after trying to write a family book on our history and I am truly hurt… You state that you were named a Blue-eyed Soul in Vietnam . . . by a Chicago Black. So does that justify you as being who you are because you were called that, you could not be just a white person with soul…does soulfulness just belong to one race?…

No, I would not want anyone of your ignorance and incompetence have the pleasure of touching me, nor am I a valley girl. Besides how do you know most blacks are saying that MJ is a wanna be whitey that is just a handful of opinions, or just your perception of things. Believe it or not it was the majority of blacks that purchased over 70 million (states side) of MJ’s Thriller album and over 100 million people in general internationally…

By the way, you state that most slave owners NEVER treated their people the way I described, because. they needed them healthy to get the work done. WRONG READ AND RESEARCH YOUR BLACK HISTORY… So you are basically saying that white slave owners did not maimed or brand their slaves

Part 3,
, what about being made to sleep in substandard conditions, what about those who had their fingers cut off because they could write. What about their diets, because they were given the slop from the big house, something that was not fit for a dog to eat…The Masta… gave his gracious blacks were pig feet, fat-backs and (and the hogs guts) chitterlings among other things that we do not care to mention and yet blacks made do with what they had and the reason why I can say that is, because today you eat that food too. Slaves were only kept healthy in order to be sold.

You might be surprised about some of the things your grandparents or great-grandparents did back in the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s, or even the 60’s, and baby you are delusional. The master did want what was not fit for a dog. Yes, many blacks do say things about MJ but you are not a part of their environment so you have not authority to say anything…That is like someone talking about a family member of yours, it is okay for you and yours to say something but you are not going to let anyone else do it…

Read “The Willie Lynch Letter & The Making of a Slave.” You don’t have to be a Christian to be a human being with commonsense and compassion…you better read your history of minorities before you begin to talk and stop dreaming about who and what you think may or may not be factual…

What about The Hotten Tott Venus, oh, I forgot, you do not know about her; well she was a black woman in the late 1800’s to early 1900’ (but read and find out for yourself) kidnapped from Africa and body displayed for sever

I am not stating that I am perfect but use some commonsense and wisdom before you try to degrade someone and make sure that you get your facts straight FIRST…

Now work with that and give me some valid solidified facts...

Dear Godzgirl,

One of my ancestors was hung from a tree by his ankles in below freezing weather.

The Nazi's sprayed him with an innocent garden hose until he became a human pop-sicle.

Godzgirl...You sure have a lot to say, and we are geographically compatable.

I would enjoy a spirited conversation in person.

Like over an expensive dinner at a neutral public location.

Keep in mind, YOU ATTACKED ME when I agreed with ddain, and took a stand against Michael Jackson. You suggested that I was a decedent of slavers and inferred that I was racist.

Well, SINCE YOU PUT IT THAT WAY, one thing I can say, that I believe 75% of the people on this website would agree on, is that you have a serious case of believing you are more important than you are, and it has resulted in a side effect of diarrhea of the mouth. Probably 60% of what is coming out of your mouth (by way of your keyboard, of course) should be going out the other end. You are so-o anal retentive.

Now, I was NOT calling you a hypocrite. I WAS saying that you lack understanding of God and His ways, but that ignorance can be effectively cured with proper education. I do not propose that I should be the source of that education. I was referring to the Priests of the Church of Rome, and more specifically those who molest little boys.

(Frankly, I don't see why someone living in California, who is as obviously as open minded as you, would have so much problem with that issue. After all, you guys say it's okay to be gay, and after all, the victims were only boys. That shouldn't bother you, being a Modern Feminist.)

I'm really curious what your source is: GOD said, “I would rather for you to believe in me than to see what man really is.” For the life of me, I've never seen anything of that reference in any of the several translations of the Bible I have read and studied. Nevertheless, don't ignore the fact that in this context, “man” refers to women, too.

I know that non

I know that none of my ancestors ever owned slaves because I know my lineage. My family were Scots who immigrated into Ireland at the end of the 18th century. Since we were not Catholic, we encountered persecution there, and came to the Americas in the early 1800s. Since the family settled in Western Virginia, we were, quite frankly, hillbillies. (You probably had not a clue that the majority of people referred to as hillbillies were of Scottish decent.) No shame in my game, Booboo. My father's great grandfather was drafted by the Union Army to drive ambulance, but exempted because he carried the U.S. Mail on his wagon route across to St. Louis. You can feel ALL THE SHAME you like (and I am sure you enjoy that feeling, or you wouldn't own it) for the sake of your family's past. It is not anything to do with me.

And, the fact that the Chicago Black (we called him Sugar Bear, by the way) declared me to be Blue-eyed Soul, just testifies that Black Folk DON'T HAVE SOLE CLAIM to soulfulness. He was a much better person, by his acknowledgment, than you are in you attempt to disparage it.

The term “touch you” is normally interpreted as saying, “Oh, massa godzgirl; since you want everyone to think you are so superior to me, may I PLEASE have permission to touch you?” I have no desire to touch you, I was putting you down for your arrogance. Got it?

As regards Black History: there were, at one time, many great and rich Nations of black people West to East across the whole African Continent. They warred against each other. Sometimes the winners would si

simply kill all the men, and take all their women. But, most of the times they didn't want them, and as an act of mercy, rather than kill the men and leave the women without, they would sell as slaves to Dutch merchants on the Atlantic Coast. At first, the Dutch Merchants were very surprised, but as their surprise wore off, and they saw the opportunity for profit, they took advantage.

Honey, Whitey didn't destroy the African Nations, Africans did.

You refer to the “Hotten Tott Venus.” The Hottentot Venus was Saartjie Baartman - "Hottentot" was the tribe of her people, and "Venus" was a take-off on works of art depicting the female form. She was orphaned in a raid on her village and subsequently became a paid servant to a Dutch farmer's household. She was lured by the promise of riches to go on an exhibition tour, which she did quite willingly. Her exhibition in London created a scandal and an abolitionist benevolent society (equivalent to a charity or pressure group) called the African Association (formed by white folks like William Wilberforce) petitioned for her release. Baartman was questioned in Dutch, in which she was fluent, before a court, and stated that she was not under restraint and understood perfectly that she was guaranteed half of the profits.

That's all you are going to get, except for one more thing I have to say. The way you IDOLIZE and defend Michael Jackson, and hold faithful to him . . . that's called WORSHIP. That's FACT! Why do you worship Michael Jackson? How many other performers do you worship?

You say you gotta be

Arky51,
I never said that you were racist, that was your assumption…And I do not think that I am more important than I really am…Once again, that is your assumption…You made an issue of the situation and once again made another assumption of yourself… “ignorance can be effectively cured with proper education.” This is correct, I know nothing of the Priest in Rome because I never studied about them nor do I live in Rome.

(Frankly, I don't have a problem with that issue. After all, “you guys say, it's okay to be gay”, you never heard/read me saying such a thing…Once again, that is your ASSumption and after all it does not matter who the victims were, the fact being is that they were children. PERIOD…

Are you really curious? Proverbs 14:15 A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps…. Nevertheless, I did not ignore the fact that in this context, “man” refers to women, too.

“I know that none of my ancestors ever owned slaves because I know my lineage. My family were Scots who immigrated into Ireland at the end of the 18th century.” Do you really? You tell me that I can feel ALL THE SHAME that I would like (and I am sure you once again make an ASSumption of yourself since I have African ancestry my dear lost soul (SMILE)…

You stated, “And, the fact that the Chicago Black (we called him Sugar Bear, by the way) declared me to be Blue-eyed
